Textual analysis on Magazines

This is a TV issues of The Lifestyle Journalist which features actor Simi Chahal on the cover, advertising the article inside the magazine ‘Leading ladies of India Television’. This magazine focuses on a is similar topic to the USP of my show and what I would focus on in my magazine.

This Marie Claire magazine cover has Indian actress Sonakshi Sinha on the front advertising her life style. Though this magazine doesn’t specifically advertise Sinha for a show or film in particular this issue focuses on ‘The Body Issue’ within the Celebrity society. By having a strong, foreign, female role model on the front cover this would inspire and encourage women who read this magazine to comply to what the main focus is, and in this issue it being about body issues. These topics being to some interest in the possible topics I might talk about. 

Actress Zendaya is on the front cover of this Cosmopolitan issue surrounded in headlines which are empowering, ‘Score a job you’ll really love’ and ‘Smart ways to double your money’, considering this magazine is advertised to women theses headlines which could advertised to both genders is appealing to women considering the long history of stereotyping women with only caring about their image. In this magazine Zendaya reveals why she chooses to go back to her shows on Disney Channel, and becomes an inspiring role model for the younger audiences of the magazine. 

Every year Vanity Fair releases a Hollywood Issue featuring actors and actresses whom deserve to be celebrated that year.  In 2017 Vanity Fair decided to celebrate “the most compelling, powerful, and talented women in the business”. This issue which focuses on the achievement these women have done in the acting world and talks about the achievements they gain from them, talking about the different the awards they have gained or nominated for. The photoshoot, even created by a women photographer is a similar type of shoot I want to have in my front cover.
