Shooting Script

This is the break down of each shot I am going to use for my TV show. I still need to figure out my timings for each shot, however the timings might change when I come to editing the footage. Additionally the dialogue I have used in this is from my first draft script, therefore it might change when filming begins.

Director: “Where is she? Where is Bella?”

Dialog no background noise.
Harper: “I’m afraid to say this but no one has seen her all day”

Director: Are you kidding me? Where is Bella?

Quick cut to the door where Bella is stood.

Loud slam of the door and silence.

Medium close up tracking shot of Bella running to an empty place and starts getting ready.

Silence.

The camera pans to where the director would be making it a POV shot.

Rustling from Bella trying to get her bag unpacked.
Bella: “I’m sorry I’m late just give me two minute and I’ll be ready”

Director: “Hold on what’s wrong with your voice”

Bella: “It’s just a little cold I’ll be fine, I can still do the show. Please don’t cut me I can still perform”

Director: “Look Bella, you know I can’t send our female lead out sick, I’m sorry but go home get some rest, we will talk about this next week”

Bella: “Ok, I understand, I’m really sorry”

Slam of the director’s fist on piano.
Director: “Damn it!”

Wide shot of the audience seats, where the director is sat, Harper enters from the left.

Silence, harpers footsteps and sitting on the chair.

Medium close up two shot of the director and Harper. Director look straight at the camera, Harper is looking at the director.

Harper: I’m sorry, if this is out of line or too soon but I think I have found the prefect replacement.

Director: As I’m sure you’ve all heard, I have two days to find a replacement lead before opening night and if I don’t there is no show, meaning we are all out of a job. I’ve called you all here to see who you think should get the role or convince me why it should be you.

Long shot of the director sitting on the audience seats.

Silence. Before faint singing from Quinn.

Faint singing from Quinn.

Tracking shot of the director’s shoulders and head.

The singing gets louder and the directors gets closer to the greenroom.

POV shout from the director looking at Quinn as she looks up.

Quinn stops singing to gasp.

Tracking shot of the director walking through the green room.

Dialog and chatter amongst the crowd.
Director: “Belt tighter! Hair curlier!”

The camera pans round from behind the director to an over the shoulder shot of Quinn

Background noise in the greenroom.
Director: “Darling you look amazing do me proud out there”
